Short Service Commission in the Army Medical Corps invites applications Applications are invited from Indian male and female citizens, who have passed their final MBBS examination and completed internship

Salary: Total emolument at minimum of pay scale at the time of joining will be Rs 44000/- per month apart from free ration, subsidised accommodation and allied facilities.

Eligibility:

• Candidate should possess medical qualification included in First/Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of IMC Act 1956. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI. Post Graduate Degree holders (MD/MS/MCh/DM) may also apply.
• Applicants who have taken more than two chances in the final MBBS examination need not apply.
• Age Limit: Candidate must not have attained 45 years of age as on December 31, 2012

Selection Procedure: Eligible Candidates will be called for Interview by a Board of Officers in the month of July 2012 at the Army Hospital, New Delhi, Delhi Cantt.
 

Employability: Being a Medical Officer of Armed Forces Medical Services, the candidate on grant of commission is liable to be employed in any part of the country or abroad in Army, Navy or Air Force.

• Application on a good quality paper (A4 size) duly completed in all respects strictly on the prescribed Performa as per advertisement 10601/11/0072/1112 in Hindustan Times newspaper of March 15, 2012 along with attested copies of required documents should reach at the Office of the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services/DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, M Block, New Delhi-110001
• For intimation of interview, one self-addressed envelope (without postage stamp) and a Demand Draft of any Nationalised Bank of Rs 200/- payable at New Delhi in favour of Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services with the name and address on the reverse of DD should be sent along with the application form.
