One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post-Graduates(OCES)@ BARC
Bhabha Atomic Research centre (BARC) is a premier institution for Research and Development (R&D) in Nuclear science and technology, in particular and in Biological, Chemical, engineering and physical sciences in general. The centre has not only been the backbone of the Indian Nuclear Energy programme, but also has been in the forefront of research in other branches of engineering as well as in basic sciences. Several of its state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities are unique to it.
One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post-Graduates (OCES) conducted at BARC Training Schools. A Trainee who scores a minimum of 50% aggregate marks on completion of the training programme is declared to have passed the course successfully. Successful Trainees will be posted as scientific officers in one of the following DAE units:

3.      Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Ltd (BHAVINI), Kalpakkam*
4.      Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT), Mumbai*
5.      Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore 
6.      Heavy Water Board (HWB), Mumbai*
7.      Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam
8.      Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad*
9.      Uranium Corporation of India Ltd(UCIL), Jaduguda*
11.  Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata.

How to apply

With regard to payment of Application Fee, the candidate may download the three fold challan from the website http://oces.hbni.ac.in and make the payment in any branch of the State Bank of India. There are two modes of application:
(1) Online, and 
(2) By Post.

·         Selection Interviews
Final Selection is solely on the basis of performance in interview subject to medical fitness. This selection process would also be used for selecting candidates for research based academic programmes and for Diploma in Radiological Physics programme of HBNI.
