Selection process: Research Eligibility Test (RET) and Interview
  • The eligible candidates who cleared NET/SET/SLET/MPhil are exempted from appearing in this test and should directly appear for the interview.
  • syllabus of RET will be the same as for the UGC NET Examination in Geography.
  • Structure of RET: 30 multiple-choice questions (all compulsory - 2-marks each) and 2 essay-type questions (10-marks each) are to be answered within 2 hours. The essay-type questions are to be chosen from two groups-Physical Geography and Human Geography-containing three questions in each.
How to apply: Dully filled in application, along with necessary enclosures, must reach to the Department on or before last date.
