Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2012
Azim Premji Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with a goal to create and sustain initiatives to contribute to a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society.

Fellowship: Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship 2012

Duration: 2 years

Course structure:
  • 45 day classroom module to strengthen conceptual understanding of education and development issues
  • 22 months of intense field engagement at the grass roots level in the District Institutes of the Foundation.
  • Working on a live project that has significant purpose of improving quality at practice level.
Location:
  • The classroom module for 45 days will be held in Bangalore during which suitable arrangements will be made for your accommodation.
  • During the 22 month field attachment, the candidates will be assigned districts which include: Yadgir & Mandhya (Karnataka), Dhamtari (Chhattisgarh), Uddhamsinghnagar & Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Sirohi & Tonk (Rajasthan) and Mehaboobnagar (Andhra Pradesh).
  • The Foundation will assist in accommodation arrangements at the districts.
Stipend:
  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 or more depending on work experience of candidates and suitability will be paid.
  • On successful completion of the programme, candidates may be offered employment opportunities in the Foundation, at an appropriate compensation package.
Eligibility: Applicant should be a professional with at least 2 years of experience and at least a graduate degree. Prior experience in the education or development sector would be an added advantage.

Selection Procedure: After submitting the online application, short-listed candidates will appear for a written test which will be a combination of multiple choice questions and essay type questions.
